Intonation: A Designer's Workspace Beyond a graphic design house, Edited studies the phenomenon and essence of things, breaks the form for content, reconstructs the visual, identity and narrative in a contextual approach.

How do we rethink workspace as a concept? The global changing lead us to reconsider the phenomenon of work, to reconstruct a new form of workspace that embodies the new way on work. Starting from creating the sense of time for Edited's workspace, we cover the wall with middle gray tone plaster. After that, we add intonation by applying rustic textures and blurring the boundary between sections of space, to create dynamic, tide and tension between even/ uneven, balance/ unbalance, order/disorder.

Inspired by the Edited's editorial and publication background, we designed a modular system which derives a series of furniture pieces sharing the identical system, assembling into different structure with unique texture and functions. Like the organic relationship between form and content of publication, the mixed usage of metallic structure and metallic/ wood/ plastic panel to create a main theme and variation simultaneously.

The fluidity also brings flexibility to the space arrangement and new view of work/life/leisure relationship. The open work space prioritizes collaboration, relaxation and adaptability. The space can be transformed to exhibition area, workshop space, ping-pong battlefield, research room etc... The perspective is adjusted and the content follows.

Edited是一所設計工作室，著重以脈絡研究的方式，拆解事物的表像和核心，設計出獨特的視覺識別和敘事方式。

在這個時代，如何重新思考「工作場所」這個概念？如何建構一種當代的工作場所，主動想像一種適切的工作形態？設計Edited的工作室時，我們選擇不同層次的灰度，營造一種獨特的時間感，並加入其他質感的牆面、延伸交錯的線與面，以創造介乎於平衡／不平衡、劃一／交錯之間的張力。

從Edited編輯出版背景出發，我們利用金屬支架建構出一套特製模組，配合各種物料如實木及塑膠飾板，重構成具有各種功能和質感的傢俱。我們觀察到設計出版物的過程中，經常會考慮形式與內容之間的流動性和有機連結。以此為概念，設計出一個能夠同時作為會議室、研究空間、展覽場所等的多變空間，體現了在這個時代，我們是如何看待工作、生活、休閒的當代工作文化。
